Very often the girls and puberty aspects are overlooked in the school curriculum. However, this year the education secretary has announced a new curriculum including the girls and puberty aspect.
According to the case studies, especially young girls are ashamed of their puberty process going on but would really like to know more about it. Therefore, in order to fill this information gap on the girls and puberty subject, the education secretary has introduced a new brochure aiming at a more thorough approach towards this aspect at schools. The new curriculum includes a course in girls puberty which explains exactly how it happens and what are the stages and the outcome of the whole process. It should be kept in mind that the girls and puberty aspect creates embarrassment also because of the difference in the puberty stage between boys and girls. Apparently, boys being at an earlier stage than girls create uncomfortable situations for girls and according to the new curriculum, all the relevant courses shouldn’t be mixed. Separating boys from girls for the biology course means the two can learn about puberty in their own time and without any unnecessary kerfuffle.
